WHAT YOU NEED TO USE CAR-NET.
Detect MEDIA’ OR ‘DISCOVER PRO’ NAVIGATION SYSTEM.
The ‘Detect Media` navigation system features a 16.Five cm (6.5-inch) touchscreen. The 2D and Two.5D map view permits route selection using three criteria (prompt, brief, economical). The system permits your mobile phone to be lightly linked to the vehicle with the help of Bluetooth® wireless technology.
The ‘Detect Pro` system displays 3D maps on a large 20.Three cm (8-inch) touchscreen. In addition, the destinations can be conveniently selected using voice instruction.
Car-Net portal.
The Apps and Services from Volkswagen Car-Net are not only pioneering in terms of their features, but also the way in which they are operated. Once you have ordered the Car-Net services for your vehicle and registered your vehicle on the Car-Net portal, all you need to do is activate the service in the vehicle. You can then plan your next journey from the convenience of your sofa. View relevant vehicle information on the screen of your computer or tablet and conveniently access your settings via the online Car-Net portal.
CONNECTION TECHNOLOGIES
WLAN CLIENT.
A mobile phone tariff with sufficient data volume is required to use the WLAN client. The system connects to the Internet via your smartphone`s mobile hotspot. Depending on your mobile phone tariff and especially when being used abroad, extra costs may be incurred (e.g. wandering fees) when receiving data packages from the Internet. Use the links to download instructions on how to pair your smartphone and find out more about infotainment.
‘PREMIUM’ RSAP AND MOBILE PHONE INTERFACE.
The Car-Net Apps and Services can also be used with the ‘Detect Pro` navigation system in conjunction with the ‘Premium` mobile phone interface. The integrated telephone module makes it possible to connect to the Internet when you insert a data SIM card in the slot.
Instead of using an extra SIM card, you can also use the data tariff on your smartphone, as long as it is Bluetooth®-compatible and has the remote SIM Access Profile (rSAP). Check the compatibility of your mobile phone here.
UMTS CARSTICK.
The UMTS CarStick requires its own SIM card with sufficient data volume. The WLAN hotspot works in this way and is independent of the smartphone connection. The link will redirect you straight to the product in the Volkswagen E-shop.

Use of Car-Net Security & Service is governed in a separate Contract concluded online with Volkswagen AG. The customer has ninety days after vehicle handover to register the vehicle at www.volkswagen.com/Car-Net. This will enable the customer to use Services for the total period of validity. The Emergency Call Service is already activated when the vehicle is delivered, without registration being required.
Availability of Car-Net Services may vary depending on the country in question. The services are available during the agreed contractual period and may be subject to amendments during the duration of the contract. To use the free Car-Net app you will need a smartphone with iOS or Android operating system and a SIM card with a data option. You will also need an suitable mobile phone contract already in place or separately arranged with your mobile phone provider. Depending on your mobile tariff, sending and receiving data online may incur extra charges (e.g. wandering charges), particularly if you are using Car-Net abroad. For more information on Car-Net Security & Service, go to www.volkswagen.com/Car-Net or contact your Volkswagen dealership. For information on your mobile rates, please contact your mobile phone provider.
The mobile online service (Car-Net) can only be used with the optional Detect Media and Detect Pro equipment. A mobile terminal (e.g. smartphone) with the capability to act as a mobile WLAN hotspot is also required. Alternatively, a mobile phone with a remote SIM Access Profile (rSAP) or a SIM card with call and data options can be used with the “Premium mobile phone interface” option. The Car-Net service is available only with an existing mobile phone contract or one which must be separately established inbetween you and your mobile service provider, and only within the coverage of the individual mobile phone network. Extra fees (e.g. wandering charges) may arise when receiving data from the internet, depending on your particular mobile phone tariff and especially when using the service abroad. Due to the accumulation of data when using the Car-Net service, it is strongly recommended that you organise an unlimited data plan with your mobile service provider.
A separate contract with Volkswagen AG must be set up online in order to use Car-Net. After the vehicle handover, the customer has ninety days to register the vehicle at www.volkswagen.com/Car-Net.
The availability of the Car-Net service may vary depending on country. The service is available for the stipulated contract length and may be subject to content-related switch during that time. More information on Car-Net can be found at www.volkswagen.com/Car-Net and at your Volkswagen dealership. Please contact your mobile service provider for information on mobile phone tariff conditions.
The vehicles shown in this picture may differ in some details from the current German delivery range. In some cases the depictions display special features that are available at extra cost.
The figures shown have been obtained using the statutory measurement methods. Figures are not based on a single individual vehicle and are not part of the suggest, but serve solely to facilitate comparisons inbetween difference types of vehicle. The fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of a vehicle depend not only on the vehicle’s fuel efficiency, but also on the way in which it is driven and other non-technical factors (e.g. environmental conditions).
Extra equipment and accessories (fittings, tyres, etc.) can alter relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics and affect fuel consumption and spectacle figures, as can weather and traffic conditions.
Information provided in accordance with Regulation 1999/94/EC as amended: Further information on the official fuel consumption and official specific CO2 emissions of fresh passenger cars can be found in the ‘Guide to fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and power consumption of fresh passenger vehicles’, which is available free of charge at all points of sale and from DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH, Hellmuth-Hirth-Straße 1, seventy three thousand seven hundred sixty Ostfildern, Germany, or from www.dat.de.
Efficiency classes rate the vehicles by CO2 emissions based on the vehicle’s unladen weight. Average vehicles are categorised as D. Vehicles that are better than the current average are categorised as A+, A, B or C. Vehicles that are worse that the average are ranked E, F or G.
As a preventive measure, CO2 emission and consumption values featured within the website are presently under revision. As soon as the revision process is finalized we will update those, if necessary. Thank you for your understanding.

WHAT YOU NEED TO USE CAR-NET.
Detect MEDIA’ OR ‘DISCOVER PRO’ NAVIGATION SYSTEM.
The ‘Detect Media` navigation system features a 16.Five cm (6.5-inch) touchscreen. The 2D and Two.5D map view permits route selection using three criteria (swift, brief, economical).

The vehicles shown in this picture may differ in some details from the current German delivery range. In some cases the depictions demonstrate special features that are available at extra cost.
