The car that allegedly plowed through a crowd of protestors.
The car that rammed into the Charlottesville protesters drove away and was found by police a few blocks away. The car was stopped and the driver was arrested. The driver’s name has not yet been released.
Here are photos of the car that allegedly drove into the crowd of protesters.
One person died from the crash. Reports began with estimates of four to six injured. Then a hospital released an estimate of nineteen injured. Now that number has enhanced to a total of thirty four injured, nineteen from the crash and fifteen in the rally itself.

The driver was arrested, but the driver’s name has not been released.
According to witnesses, counter protesters were hit as they turned a corner during their protest march. They were chanting things like “our streets” in response to the words “Unite the Right.” This happened after police had dispersed a group of white nationalists, CBS reported.
A photo is circulating on social media of a man being arrested next to a car that looks like the car that hit the protesters. We do not yet know if this is the driver or if this arrest is related.
