Mercedes Maybach six cabriolet is a 750bhp luxury electrical car
Mercedes has unveiled its latest concept car at Monterey Car Week.
The fresh Vision Mercedes-Maybach six Cabriolet is an all-electric luxury cabriolet. But honestly, it looks less like a traditional car – and more like a luxury speed boat.
It’s essentially the same car as the Maybach 6, which was very first exposed last year, but in blue it somehow looks just that bit more appealing.
Most of the same design has then been retained from the earlier concept, but the alloys have since been substituted with a more traditional narrow spoke design which matches the front grille.

Its low profile and elementary, sleek lines tapering into a pointed rear-end are evocative of 1940s American saloons.
The vastly elongated front end is split down the middle creating two different luggage compartments and matching luggage to go with it.
The compartmentalised front-left section of the bonnet features accessories such as a luxury picnic kit is like a bourgeois game of Tetris, while the right side is somewhat more conventional.
Inwards the car, the cabin is designed like a elegant cocktail bar, with the white Nappa leather interior cracked up by LED lights which wrap around the inwards – underscoring the dashboard and dotted across the seats.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach six Cabriolet takes modern luxury into the realms of the ultimate in luxury
Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer of Daimler AG,
It`s a flashy, statement car for the well to-do. You couldn`t rock up in a brief and jeans, you`d have to be wearing a tailored suit.
But aside from that it is actually an interesting car in terms of what it means for future Mercedes.
The car will, like the Maybach 6, have seven hundred fifty horsepower and around two hundred miles of range from its electrified battery pack and motors.
The Maybach six will be powered by electrified motors and a battery pack
This will also permit it to travel from 0-62mph in under four seconds.
Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer of Daimler AG, explains the design: “The Vision Mercedes-Maybach six Cabriolet takes modern luxury into the realms of the ultimate in luxury, and is the flawless embodiment of our design strategy.
«Breathtaking proportions combined with a luxurious «haute couture» interior help to create the ultimate practice.»
The Cabriolet is unlikely to inject production
What we have to be weary about is that this car will not come in production and is instead a design exercise to road test fresh ideas of propulsion and design language.
What is encouraging is that this is another electrified concept car Mercedes has unveiled over the past few years.
One of the elements of the Maybach six we hope Mercedes puts into production it the car`s rapid charge function which will permit sixty five miles of charge to occur in just five minutes.
